Finish your tasks. Avoid the faces. Survive the day.
Pareidolia is a first-person horror game inspired by the Bélmez Faces. The game takes place in an “ordinary” suburban home that is slowly being transformed and infected by face-like stains. Players must try and go about their daily routine by finishing chores, all the while trying to ignore the ever-growing presence of the stains that seem to be multiplying by the hour. This cross-discipline video game development project is in collaboration with the University of Toronto Computer Science Program, the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, and OCAD University.
